Thomas Tuchel is poised to strengthen his Chelsea squad this summer once Todd Boehly’s consortium completes its takeover at Stamford Bridge
Declan Rice has dropped a hint about his future
Chelsea face a busy summer with LA Dodger’s co-owner Todd Boehly’s consortium poised to complete its takeover of the club.
The Blues are currently under a transfer embargo as a result of government sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich over Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
But all the signs point towards that embargo being lifted in time for Boehly’s group to do business once Russian billionaire Ambramovich is gone.
And that is hugely important as key defenders Antonio Rudiger is set to sign for Real Madrid and Andreas Christensen is on his way to Barcelona.
Mason Mount and Reece James are also in line for new contracts, which cannot happen until the takeover is signed off and sanctions lifted.
But Blues boss Thomas Tuchel needs new faces to refresh a Chelsea squad that has looked tired in recent weeks and needs to replace key faces.

At least four incomings
According to the Evening Standard, Tuchel wants two centre backs, cover at wing back and reinforcements in attack too.
With Marcos Alonso likely to follow Rudiger and Christensen out of the door and Romelu Lukaku failing to fire on all cylinders, that is no surprise.
The Standard also claim Tuchel’s plans in midfield are dependant on departures.

Rice drops hint over future
The Standard also claim long-term Chelsea target Declan Rice has dropped a big hint about his future.
Rice is thought to be open to a move this summer having turned down a series of contract offers from West Ham.
But he spoke about being “ready to go again” next year as he received the club’s Hammer of the Year award on Monday night.
And with two years left on his contract and the option to extend it by a further year, West Ham hold all the cards for a player they value at £150m.
So far there are no bids on the table for Rice from Chelsea or any other clubs, with Manchester United and Manchester City also interested.
Multiple clubs set to battle it out for Chelsea star
Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter is a man in demand according to Caught Offside.
Leeds have already registered an interest in the highly-rated youngster, but they have now been joined by the likes of PSV Eindhoven and Club Brugge.
The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Coventry and has a decision to make about his future after failing to break into the Chelsea first team.
